Walking, Leaping and Praising God

Pentecost Sunday 2010 – Gatley, Cheshire

We were at Bethany Community Church, Gatley, where I had spoken at the Ladies Day on the Saturday and Charles was to preach at the Sunday service. During the worship, a lady shared how on her way to church she could not stop thinking about crippled man in Acts 3 who was healed and demonstrated it by walking, leaping and praising God! She sensed God wanted to demonstrate His power in a similar way.

The pastor invited those who needed healing to come forward for prayer, many responded including a lady who had broken both knee-caps in an accident. We understood she had been in plaster casts and later strap on supports. A certain amount of healing had already taken place, but she was not walking either freely or without pain. After prayer, she left the church so that she could take a walk and discover whether there was any improvement. To her delight, she found the pain had gone and she could move quickly and freely.

By the time she came back into the church, Charles had begun preaching. She burst in waving her hands and shouting “I’ve been healed” and ran to the front of the church to give her testimony. She was jumping up and down as the people cheered and clapped, and she demonstrated her healing.

Later on after the preaching, Charles had a word of knowledge about someone who needed healing in the left foot. Another lady responded, and as she was receiving prayer, the bones in her foot moved, and she was able to feel her heel for the first time since an operation on that foot. Later she told me she felt the bones in her foot relocate and saw the foot change shape, and she was looking forward to wearing her new shoes! Hallelujah!
